Advance Booking Recommended – Reserving your safari early allows us to manage arrangements more efficiently and ensure a smoother experience.
Jeep Seating Capacity – Each jeep can accommodate up to 6 persons at a time. Sharing with other groups is not permitted.
Jhilmil Jheel Zone – This marshy grassland is located near the Rajaji Tiger Reserve (an extended area of the reserve), close to Haridwar. Covering 155 hectares (383 acres), it serves as a vital wildlife corridor for animals moving between protected zones. Jhilmil represents the last untouched example of ancient Terai marshland in Uttarakhand. From the well-placed watchtower, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view that has remained unchanged for centuries. This low-lying area (altitude: 240 m. or 800 ft.) is home to Uttarakhand’s only surviving herd of Swamp Deer, also known as Barasingha (Cervus Duvaucelii).
Forest Rest House Booking – Reservations for the Forest Rest House can only be made through the Director’s Office in Dehradun by sending a fax or email, subject to availability and the discretion of the director’s office. We do not have any role in this process.
Pickup and Drop Charges – Transportation from Haridwar or Jolly Grant Airport via Tata Indica or 4-seater cab will involve an additional fee.
Guide and GST Charges – Hiring a guide will incur an extra cost. Additionally, a Goods and Services Tax of 5% will be added to all bills.
Weather-Related Disruptions – During pre-monsoon seasons, heavy rainfall may lead to the closure of specific park gates, particularly Chilla Gate. In such situations, we arrange safaris through alternative gates of Rajaji (such as Motichur, Jhilmil, Ranipur, etc.) depending on conditions. Guests may also choose to visit on the next scheduled opening date once the gate reopens by Forest Department orders. Refunds will not be issued if guests are unwilling to accept these alternative
arrangements.
